Is Acupuncture Covered by Insurance ?

Healthcare providers have found acupuncture to be a very cost effective treatment option for their
members. As study after study shows the natural benefits and cost effectiveness of acupuncture and
Oriental Medicine, more and more providers are integrating acupuncture into many of their plans.
One note though, the acupuncture coverage offered by Healthcare providers can vary widely in the
specific type of plans offered. Many of plans offered by Healthcare providers are limit coverage
to the Management of Pain.
We recommend checking with your Healthcare Provider regarding your plans specific coverage prior
to making an appointment.

If Medicare is you primary health insurance, and you have secondary coverage, the secondary insurance in many cases will cover the cost of Acupuncture Treatment.
Call our office and we can check with your carrier to see if the cost of your treatments is covered by your secondary insurance. *****
